Since 2015, initiated by the Centre national de la danse (CN D), Camping has been bringing together international artists, arts schools, dance practitioners, and dance lovers in exchange through a summer camp in Paris, in the name of a centre for dance and everybody. In the same year, Taipei Performing Arts Center (TPAC) has launched a series of arts projects revolving around the notion and practice of talents cultivation and social engagement.
With such communal visions, TPAC and CN D teams up to launch the project Camping Asia, creating a cross-cultural and interdisciplinary platform of contemporary dance in the Asia-pacific region, and facilitating more intersectional dialogues between the arts industry and education sectors.
Through a 2-weeks program of Camping Asia, various workshops, symposiums and performances will open up opportunities for young talents from around the world to exchange ideas and practice and celebrate the collective knowledge and contexts of arts.
The TPAC and the CN D cordially welcome like-minded professionals to join this year' s Camping Asia to work together and think about the future of this contemporary dance network.

Schools
Camping Asia brings together art school students from Asia, Europe and the United States to practice the concept of "Open for All" across diverse cultures and fields. Every school and every student expects to discover the teaching methods of different schools, the physical appearance of different cultural backgrounds, and the sources of inspiration for creation in different fields during the 12-day camp.
Workshops
Scheduled from Monday to Friday in the afternoon (14:00-18:00), each workshop lasts for five days. The workshop instructors are leading creators from Asia, Europe, and the Americas who usually possess expertise in two or more fields. They eagerly share their creative experiences and methods during the workshops. Due to this, the course selection phase is always highly competitive.

Performance
Performances presented by most instructors participating in the Camping Asia workshops, translating discussions and concepts from the workshop phase into practical performances. The performance session requires a participation of all campers to find their moments of inspiration in well-prepared performances.

Scheduled from Monday to Thursday in the morning (10:30-12:00), the morning session consists of classes taught by students from various schools, where students autonomously decide the content. This offers everyone the chance to understand the differing requirements of each country and culture for warming up and engaging in physical activities. Students can freely sign up for morning sessions each day, and rapidly exchanges with students from other schools.
